Tri-State fabricated this custom cart for a manufacturing client. It is used to load and transport metal chips from tooling machines to metal scrap dumpsters. The cart’s notched design allows it to fit snugly into the machine as material is transferred.

Designed with safety and efficiency in mind, it has steel channels below the loading platform for forklift use and safety chains for security while being pulled with their buggies.

The body of the cart is fabricated of 1/8″ mild steel with a built-in tongue on one side and spring-loaded pin receiver on the other so it can be pulled like a train. Urethane wheels provide long-lasting use under heavy loads.

Tri-State worked with company engineers to design and fabricate ten specialty carts and over 150 total carts to streamline material handling. Our group works regularly with area industries to manufacture custom components and tools like these to improve processes and safety.
