• There were 2,607,900 recordable cases of nonfatal injuries and illnesses in private industry in 2021.
• There were 5,190 fatal work-related injuries recorded in 2021.
• Falls are the leading cause of death for construction laborers.
• The number of fatal injuries to construction laborers is at a 5-year high.
